Review: Located in the Amelia restaurant at the Dream Hotel, this sexy underground spot is a decidedly downtown transplant in the middle of midtown.

The place has a visible texture: brick walls, crystal chandeliers, warm chocolate brown booths and big gilded mirrors. Artwork, stain glass,

and a floating staircase are the marks of an upscale design team that transformed this spot into a welcoming and fun

getaway from the norm. Dark, sensual, and crowded, D'Or is an up and coming destination for the

young and hip. The door is moderate but the spot retains a classy vibe throughout.
